How would it be if I wore a wig daily on a shaved or bald head?

I have really curly hair, and it's tangley too, I'm really annoyed with it. How comfortable would it be if I shaved my head and wore a wig everyday? Also, I know that some wigs would be uncomfortable, so how expensive are the comfortable ones that look nice?

  1. It could permanently causes your hair loss. If I saw someone, wore a wig everyday, I just assumed, they’re going through chemo. Honestly. And I would be comforting them, talk about cancer, etc. I support cancer research, mom died of cancer, so the topic of cancer will come up often.

There are some who cuts their hair very short, tired of dealing with their hair, my sons for example have been doing that with their own hair, even now that they’re married. Layer if, if that makes it easier, and cut them short.

Your hair is envy from us stick straight haired girls! If you know how to care for your hair type, you won’t have this problem. Melina Kanakaredes is an example who has hair like yours and she’s got beautiful wavy hair.
Shampoo. Condition. Towel dry, scrunch with gel like Samy, blow-dry using a diffuser briefly, tousle the hair, finger comb, shake your head & you’re good to go. If you don’t have a diffuser, use a blow heat dryer on low for 5 mins.
When you wake up, instead of shampooing again, keep a bottled water filled with water/conditioner and spray on your hair. Scrunch, finger comb and you’re good to go! Google Haley Rinehart – American Idol she’s got long beautiful curly hair! When my hair was permed in the 80′s, my hair looked like hers. Look @ my hair now.

In a pinch lip balm can double as hair wax to add definition and get rid of hairline frizz.

Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair products just absorb on your hair if they’re dry, like a sponge.

  2. This is a first.

A person with hair wanting to wear a wig.

I see men every day in my practice who have been wearing hair pieces for decades, and it is something most of use should consider ourselves lucky not to wear.

Most hair pieces are held on the scalp with adhesive, and must be re-applied every month.

Hair pieces are hard to wash, unhygienic, terrible in windy weather, and can cause headaches.

Avoid at all costs if you have hair.

  3. I’m sorry but you got some really BAD answers.

I am a woman. A woman with hair the grows naturally. And yet, I wear wigs. In fact, a few weeks ago I shaved all of my hair off.

Wigs are actually not all that uncomfortable. There is a little bit of itching sometimes, especially if you’re in a warm climate. I only wear my wigs in public, I take them off at home, when I exercise, and sometimes I’ll even go in public with just my bald head and heavy eye makeup or stick-on jewels, hats, or bandanas.

If you’re looking for a really natural wig, human hair is your best bet. If price is a consideration though, synthetic kanekalon fiber wigs can look natural too. They’re a bit on the shiny side, so if you use a makeup brush and some talcum powder it will take the shine out. In fact sometimes when I wear my $25 wig, people think I’m a hair stylist because my hair looks super luxurious.

It’s actually more comfortable wearing a wig without hair than it is with hair. Your scalp stays cooler, you don’t have to waste time in the morning on shampooing, detangling, styling, etc. Synthetic wigs also have the added benefit of coming with a pre-style. you can wash them and they will go back to that style. Human hair wigs have to be styled by you.

They are absolutely NOT dirty or hard to wash. Every 6 or so wears (or longer if you only wear them part of the day), just wash them in cold water with a mild shampoo and use a special wig detangling spray (Revlon makes on that is sold at Sally’s). Air dry on a styrofoam wig head and comb them with a special wig brush once dry.

Sorry but Dr. Hairloss is a moron. Women’s hair wigs DO NOT use adhesive. A wig is just hair sewn onto a special stretchy cap. Stretch the cap over your head, tighten, and you’re good. I’ve never EVER had a wig blow off in the wind. And you don’t wear them continuously either. Put them on when you’re in public, take them off when you get home. You wouldn’t sleep, shower, swim, or exercise in a wig.
