If you're unsure, buy the extensions a shade lighter, then have them colored at your salon to match your own hair. This does not work for synthetic hair. All extensions in this video were provided by the manufacturer. I tried to highlight both pros and cons of each product to give you my personal and honest opinion.

the thread shouldnt be breaking if it well made i make my ow clipin extension and i use weaving thread its MUCH thicker than normal thread which is what most premade extensions are made with its cheaper and more customized to make your own and you can be sure everything is secure but if you decide to fix the clip definitely use weaving thread it will last longer =] but you’ll need to get a weaving needle also to fit the thread i love your vids and how informative this vid is

@MissChievous I watched a TV programme about this, the people that wilingly shaved their hair were interviewed by the people making the documentary had no idea that the hair was being sold. They were really upset by it.
September 13th, 2010 - 16:53
@cwalus Yeah, Julia said that in this vid .. but my opinion, for the money they cost, you shouldnt have to, they should be secure enough in the first place .. of course, this hair piece may have just been a one off
September 13th, 2010 - 16:59
@allyssabebe No offense ment but why on earth would you need extention if your hair is already thick
September 13th, 2010 - 17:07
@PopcornMate Im not a fan of these pieces either, but to say anyone who wears them is being fake is rediculous … for a start its none of your buisness what anyone else does, or does not wear. You and I dont like them, but others do … just like we all have different taste in clothing styles and hair styles etc .. FREEDOM OF CHOICE … its as simple as that
September 13th, 2010 - 17:12
@MissChievous Good point Julie … im not a great fan, but i was interested to see the different products available and how they looked on you being as to me, you already have super beautiful thick hair … like i said, im not a fan of these hair peices, but they are great for my daughter who lost a lot of her hair thickness due to Polycistic ovary syndrome

@MissChievous *oops, sorry Julia*

I actually have been trying to find really good hair extensions. I bought Jessica Simpson ones.. and they were horrible. I couldn’t style them bwecause they were fake. If you go to Sallys, they have good real hair extensions, but after awhile they get super dry. If you want really good extensions, I would try foxylocks hair extensions. They are real long and thick. Best ones I’ve tried so far

To take away the shine from synthetic hair, put a little baby powder in your hand and work it through the hair.
September 14th, 2010 - 16:15

September 14th, 2010 - 16:52

I think using real human hair is better then ceramic cause you can wash it curl and do as you please unlike ceramic hair. Plus you can tell the difference between the two, if its to shiny compared to your real hair then people are going to be able to tell.

the reason there are clips on the bottom of the first one you did is because you are supposed to put your hair up, like on a flat bun or pony, and clip the clips in the hair along the nape of your neck, with your hair inside of the weft.
